All other languages are added as plugins. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is the standard language for designing the layout of a webpage. JavaScript is a scripting language for advanced design and interactive features. XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript are client-side applications processed and displayed in a web browser.
PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a server and scripting language for processing dynamic web applications. MySQL (My Structured Query Language) is a server and query language for database management. PHP and MySQL are server-side applications processed separately by a web server, then displayed in a web browser.
PHP and MySQL are Open-Source Software applications. Open-source software is declared by the FSF (Free Software Foundation) in support of the GNU Project and released under the GNU General Public License. Firefox is an open-source web browser.
Flash is a program for preparing bitmap and vector animation, such as banner ads and moving graphics. Flash Player is required to view Flash content on a website. Flash Player is free to download and cross-platform across operating systems. Most users have Flash Player installed.
Photoshop is a program for preparing bitmap images and photographs for the web or print.
InDesign is a program for preparing type and graphics for print.
